Boy, could I use this right now as I look out my window at the snow that is falling here.
This digital art is a photo of the first precious little blossom that my hibiscus plant managed to squeak out last week, a blessing from the Lord.
So, I took these photos and did several digital versions of it and decided that I would have a hibiscus series.
This one is the first in the series titled, "Hibiscus #1 - In the Pink." Click on the link below to see description and purchase info.....I can do any of these in different sizes and on different papers and am glad to accommodate you to satisfy your preference.

A mixed media doll measuring 5" x 10". Head is polymer clay with painted black eyes and pink blushed cheeks. Hair is funky curled wire. Body is cloth-wrapped armature covered with hand-sewn dress. Each is adorned with an old piece of jewelry pinned onto the dress. Beaded hands and feet; hand-cut aged brass wings. A hanger is attached on the back so she can hang in a favorite spot of your home.
Each Earth Angel Art Doll is UNIQUE, OOAK. No two exactly alike, varying in dress material, jewelry.
For sale on my website under the SCULPTING section.
Something a little different from me....
What a beautiful day it was yesterday....70 degrees here in northeast Ohio in the middle of March....sun shining. I had to sit outside on my deck and create. So I grabbed my charcoal pencils and bristol vellum and started sketching. This tree is the prominent subject in my backyard...so beautifully structural and several stories tall. You should see it when it's in full bloom with yellow and orange tulip flowers and broad green leaves. Gotta wait a couple of months for that.

New in my shop from my abstract a day series. This little painting is called Obsession. It was done using acrylic and ink on yupo paper. Yupo is synthetic paper, the paint sits on the paper producing a very vibrant color effect. To view and to purchase please visit my etsy shop : www.asilart.etsy.com

When I entered 4 of my digital photos in Focus 2007, a juried photography exhibit, which benefits the arts of several northeastern Ohio towns around the Solon, Ohio area, I felt it would just be a good experience and figured that there were so many talented photographers out there that I would probably not be selected to go to the next level of the competition.
To my surprise, 3 out of my 4 entries were chosen to be exhibited in the next three exhibits. What an honor to be among the chosen photographers, who will represent their work to the communities starting this coming weekend, March 9th, 10th, and 11th. The exhibits will continue through April 27th. The participating exhibits will be held at Valley Art Center in Chagrin Falls; the Fairmount Center in Novelty; and the Solon Center for the Arts in Solon.
