Sunday Swim 2 Watercolor & Ink

Inspiration for this piece as well as a lot of my artwork is Lake Texoma, the largest lake here in Texas where I lived for over 15 years. The peace, tranquility, beauty and artistic inspiration I find there almost makes me cry. If you're a creative, artistic soul, then I'm sure you understand what I mean.

This watercolor and india ink painting is for sale on my official website under the WATERCOLOR section that I just started. It is not matted nor framed. It is painted on Strathmore 140 lb. cold press watercolor paper. Measures 12 x 9-inches. I used alcohol and salt effects with the watercolor to obtain the design within the colors that is more visible when you see the actual work.

Little Children should be seen and not heard

Media: acrylic on wood panel
Dimensions: 14.5 x 14.5
Date of Work: 2008

This piece started from a creepy Victorian post card. I later made that into a photoshop collage, they they so amused me I couldn't resist painting them.

This painting will be sold at a charity auction for the new play "FIRST HAND WOMAN" by Sarah Michelle Brown

FIRST HAND WOMAN is an award-winning new stage play set within a woman’s heart and mind. This is a powerful journey through heartache and healing, as told by the boisterous and unapologetic stages of grief. Join Denial, Bargaining, Anger, Depression and Acceptance as they unravel the secrets and truths of a love story gone bad. As the play progresses, layers of this woman’s truth, and the realities of the relationship with her lover and with herself are poignantly and sometimes joyfully peeled away. Thus revealing someone who is seeking the redemption and reconciliation of her fragmented self. CAUTION: Show contains spontaneous simulated Orgasms!

"This is one of the best dramas I've seen... you will laugh with them and cry with them". - [The Montreal Gazette]

Pansy Garden painted by Madelaine Fedorowich

With all the snow falling (and on the ground) I decided to paint something to remind me of warmer times... something spring-ish. I also do have to admit that pansys are my favourite flower and I think I have somewhat figured out how to paint them. For more paintings, visit my Etsy store or my blog.

My horse, Class

I wanted to paint my horse Class, as a "Sunshine Girl". She looked so pretty as she walked toward me, the sun was shining right through her eye, turning it a golden color, like the eye of a tawny lion.

This is available as an original, or as aceo card reproductions. They'll be for sale in my etsy shop.

Introducing Togo Boffin, The Hobbit

This is my own OOAK, original mixed media design, a 5" tall hobbit I've named, "Togo Boffin". He stands on a real moss covered sculptured base with a sculpted round hobbit door behind him. He holds a twisted stick. Note his hairy (real hair) hands and feet. (And notice his large feet!)

I never use molds, kits or patterns in my art works, preferring to use my own ideas and imagination.

Togo Boffin is the ONLY hobbit of his kind in the entire world! YOU can own him today. He will make a special gift for anyone (even you if you want to treat yourself) who loves fantasy, and/or Lord of the Rings where hobbits were featured.

For sale in my Etsy shop!

Thanks for looking and Togo Boffin thanks you too! :)

Poppy, Original Painting by Madelaine Fedorowich

This one has been on my easel off and on for a couple of weeks now. Flowers have been my focus lately... trying different techniques out to capture the subtle colours of the petals. White flowers have been especially challenging... but, I bought myself a small tube of cobalt blue and that seems to be the trick for me. They white poppies seem a little washed out in this scan, but there is much more subtle colour in them in real life. For more paintings visit my blog and to see what is available see my etsy store.

Been splashing water and paint everywhere. This rose is 12 x 16. Largest watercolor I've done this year. Maybe the most fun, too. Won't see roses blooming again until late spring, this one will last at least until then.

Down to Earth

Today was an earthy day... fall is starting to pass by and there is less and less colour in the trees as the leaves are falling more quickly now. I had lots of fun playing with all my earthy browns and greens... especially the granulating ones. For purchasing information on this, and other paintings, visit my etsy store. New Art Greetings Cards

Take a look at the latest Sujati Art Print Greetings cards, taken from my own original paintings and currently for sale in my store HERE!

Gothic Gisha altered art emo doll

My latest in the dime store dollies project. This was one of those truly ugly Bratz baby rip off dolls. Her head and limbs kept falling off. I remounted the head using elastics around the neck knob to hold it firm, and glued the arms and legs into place using a type of white glue, but much stronger.

She was primed and them hand painted with artists acrylics. I painted her T-shirt and added little "dance pants” striped stockings and Mary-Jane shoes in paint.

I really like the way her eyes turned out this time.

She will be available on Etsy in the near future.

Day of the Dead skull lino cut block print

I spent a part of my childhood growing up in Mexico. The Day of the dead Celebrations were an amazing thing to experience.Sugar Skulls and chocolate coffins! What more could a weird little kid like me ask for!

Although I have mixed feelings about appropriating the customs of other cultures, I have such a fondness for these images I needed to work one out.

not completely sure that I'm happy with this. I need to rework parts I think.
