Little Children should be seen and not heard

Media: acrylic on wood panel
Dimensions: 14.5 x 14.5
Date of Work: 2008

This piece started from a creepy Victorian post card. I later made that into a photoshop collage, they they so amused me I couldn't resist painting them.

This painting will be sold at a charity auction for the new play "FIRST HAND WOMAN" by Sarah Michelle Brown

FIRST HAND WOMAN is an award-winning new stage play set within a woman’s heart and mind. This is a powerful journey through heartache and healing, as told by the boisterous and unapologetic stages of grief. Join Denial, Bargaining, Anger, Depression and Acceptance as they unravel the secrets and truths of a love story gone bad. As the play progresses, layers of this woman’s truth, and the realities of the relationship with her lover and with herself are poignantly and sometimes joyfully peeled away. Thus revealing someone who is seeking the redemption and reconciliation of her fragmented self. CAUTION: Show contains spontaneous simulated Orgasms!

"This is one of the best dramas I've seen... you will laugh with them and cry with them". - [The Montreal Gazette]

There were many times while my kids were growing up that I thought they should be seen and not heard. How peaceful they are when sleeping. LOL
Interesting piece, and yes, a bit creepy...just a tad.
Hugs,
